Located at the edge of a urban village and a forest, siting of the house is relegated to the South west quadrant because of an HT cable and Vastu. The site has two distinct contours with a plateau at the entry level and a drop below, overlooking the forest. The project attempts to negotiate the rugged landscape to build a secure retreat in the wild, opening up to the vistas while still negotiating climate, vastu and threat of inhabiting the forest edge.
