The community centre is looked at as a transitional pavilion between the open the valley. It embraces the landscape all around while addressing level differences on site. It comprises of three volumes - a load bearing, inward looking, linear mass at the rear to accommodate the services and kitchen; a skylit, relatively compressed pavilion on the upper field bund to cater to dining; a volumetrically more liberated pavilion with metal super structure on the lower field bund. The two pavilions are connected by an RCC gutter on top and amphi-theatre steps below, negotiating the level difference.
